AC Milan are believed to be in pursuit of Liverpool duo of Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi ahead of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks according to Italian outlet La Gazette dello Sport.
This is a development after AC Milan failed in their quest to secure the signature of Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the San Siro from LA Galaxy with the player already stating that he will not seek any move away from the club according to The Mirror.
However, with the interest in the Liverpool duo, the Series A side are hopeful that a deal would be sealed in the coming winter window with both players looking for regular playing time.
Sturridge has had just 9 appearances for the Reds team of which he saw just two starts so far this season.
Origi also spent the 2017/18 season out on loan in Germany with Wolfsburg and despite his return, he is yet to see starting roles as he is only relegated to the bench.
There is no doubt that the duo will jump at any opportunity that will hand them starting roles at the moment.
The Merseyside club are also not interested in releasing the duo as the season enters a critical moment when options would be needed to help win games or come to rescue in situations of bad form and injuries.
Origi is also an important member of the Reds team. It was well exhibited that he helped his side win the Merseyside derby against Everton when he came in from the bench.
Liverpool are, however, seeking to win a title this term with manager Jurgen Klopp yet to lift a title on his three years in charge.
