English Premier League side Chelsea are set to battle other top clubs for the signature of Italian Serie A midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur who is a subject of interest from a number of clubs.

Rodrigo Bentancur is already being wanted by Spanish giants Real Madrid and English Premier League champions Man City with all clubs seeking to have his signature in January when the winter transfer window reopens.

Reports according to Don Balon reveal that the Italy based player has a price tag of about £60 million which his European suitors are ready to pay to have a deal sealed.

With two three top guns already in for the 21-year-old, it is believed that Juventus will leave the decision in the hands of the player as long as his asking price can be met.

Rodrigo Bentancur has been a major part of the Juventus team so far in this season with 15 games already under his belt across all competitions and that is enough to have handed him the level of attention he has at the moment.

The Uruguay international has got lots of qualities including having the ability to break-up play, play as a box-to-box man and also initiating an attack which adds to having the ability to intimidate with his physicality.

thorgan hazard

It is understood that the West London outfit Chelsea will be moving all out in the coming summer transfer window for more additions to the team.

The popular opinion at the beginning of the season was that the Blues’ side have a complete team but the narrative changed as soon as the Maurizio Sarri-led team started suffering some defeat and inconsistency in their game.

This makes it necessary for the Blues side to strengthen the team in the coming summer window especially now that they might be losing Belgium international Eden Hazard at the end of the season with suggestions that he would be heading to the Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid.

News outlet Tavern has suggested that the Blues look the direction of German Bundesliga outfit Monchengladbach midfielder Thorgan Hazard as they prepare for the summer window.

According to Tavern, Thorgan Hazard has developed to one of the finest attacking midfielders in Europe and could be perfect to replace his brother at the Stamford Bridge.

Thorgan Hazard is expected to cost Chelsea a lot but it is suggested to be a big deal that will be appreciated over the years because of his brilliant technique, his finishing and ability to change the game.

Emerson Palmieri

Chelsea Left full-back Emerson Palmieri has ruled out leaving the West London in the coming summer window, insisting that he will stay to fight for a starting role at the club.

Emerson Palmieri is believed to have received a number of offers from suitors who are ready to hand him the opportunity of a first team role, but he seems not to be interested in a move.

The star player has not been favoured in the manager Maurizio Sarri team as finding a first team role has been difficult which sparked up the suggestions that he would be leaving the club as soon as the transfer window is reopened.

There are suggestions that Emerson Palmieri is banking on the fact that Marcos Alonso is being linked with a move to Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid so he could finally get his chance to play regularly at the Champions League.

Emerson Palmieri only joined the West London outfit last summer from AS Roma and he is already being linked with a return to  Serie A with claims that he is wanted by Juventus and Inter Milan.

However, it is to clear if Emerson Palmieri is in the plans of the former Napoli boss but there are no signs the club wants him out.

The big mistake Chelsea made with Gonzalo Higuain

Gonzalo Higuain

In a bid to have a firing attack, English Premier League outfit Chelsea went ahead to secure the signature of Argentina international Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus on a loan deal but with an option of a buy at the end of the season.

Before his signature, The West London outfit suffered lack of cutting edge in their attack with Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud failing to deliver goals and that went a long way in affecting their season especially in the first half.

The Blues boss Maurizio Sarri had insisted in Gonzalo Higuain as the best fit to solve the problem at the attack and the player he wants to work with owing to their past relationship, a decision that was greeted by divergent reactions.

However, it has been suggested that the Blues boss made a big mistake to have moved in for Gonzalo Higuain despite scoring twice since he joined the club.

The Blues are told they should have moved in for Krzysztof Piatek who was in great form with Italian Serie A outfit Genoa before moving to AC Milan and he has been an unchanged figure at the San Siro.

Krzysztof Piatek has been scoring in virtually all games with their last game inclusive. That is what Chelsea were actually looking for.

Jorginho

There is no doubt that Jorginho is the most criticized player in the Chelsea team owing to his poor performances in recent times.

According to former Man United striker Dimitar Berbatov, Jorginho is badly treated by the fans and pundits for their criticisms of the player because of his kind of passes that is not seen as progressive.

The record has it that Jorginho has the highest number of pass3es in the Premier League but that has not been regarded by the fans because they are mostly backward and sideways passing which has not helped the team in going forward.

Berbatov has now come to the defence of the former Napoli player, stressing that he is a very good player but what is needed to be done is a change in decision by the Italian manager Maurizio Sarri to be able to bring the best out of the star player.

The former United player stated that Jorginho has been proven in Italy to be a good player, not9ing that what the former Napoli boss must do is to have French powerhouse N’Golo Kante close to him so that the best of hi can be seen.

According to him the job of passing and having to get hold of the midfield could be a more tasking job for Jorginhio.

Why Chelsea under Sarri is different from Chelsea in my time, Zola

Zola

English Premier League outfit Chelsea assistant coach Gianfranco Zola has made it clear that this Blues team under manager Maurizio Sarri are different from the team he played in during his time as a player at the Stamford Bridge.

According to Gianfranco Zola, this Chelsea team are short in the way they react to defeat and that needs to be worked upon because it could cost them the entire season.

The West London outfit suffered a 6-0 humiliation in the hands of Man City which humbled the team. The Blues team were able to bounce back with a 2-1 win over Malmo in the Europa League but there are still doubts over the reaction of the team and the ability to play under the manager’s style.

Sarri had earlier blasted the players for being difficult to motivate before he claimed they had no idea about his playing style which remains a worrisome development for fans and pundits on how they will excel without knowing how to play the manager’s style.

However, Chelsea are hoping to bounce back with the Italian manager under pressure to deliver at the club or risk being sacked as speculations over his future is increasing by the day.

Kenneth Omeruo

Nigerian international Kenneth Omeruo has been a Chelsea player for many years but he has spent most of his spell away on loan to other clubs because of his inability to make the first team spot at the club despite the potentials he showed when he first appeared on the scene.

This may be time for him to leave as it is reported that he now has a lot of offers from clubs in Spain and Germany as it is not sure he would be needed at the Stamford Bridge again.

So far, Kenneth Omeruo has been loaned to Middlesbrough, Holland and Turkey before heading to Spain and there is no hope of his return back to the Stamford Bridge.

Suggestions are that Chelsea are not ready to stop the Nigerian international at the moment with offers expected to be submitted for his signature ahead of the coming summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old is enjoying a fine form in his current club at the Spanish La Liga and that has attracted interests from a number of clubs.

However, suggestions are that his current side Leganes will do all it takes to land him on a permanent deal an improved offer to be able to win the race for his signature.

Reports from France revealed that Chelsea would have lost their powerhouse and French midfielder N’Golo Kante following an attempt by French Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain to snap him up.

According to reports, N’Golo Kante received a big money offer from PSG but he turned it out as he insisted on staying with the West London outfit for the time being.

It was earlier reported that N’Golo Kante would be leaving the West London outfit after he was disposed of his natural role by manager Maurizio Sarri in favour of Jorginho.

All of the negatives at the club have not been considered by the former Leicester City star who demanded to remain despite the big money offer from his country club, according to French outlet Le10 Sport.

There are claims that PSG were ready for £100 million talks with the Blues and a huge weekly wage with the player but he was not ready to be a part to that.

Why Sarri should now look away from Jorginho

Timothy Aiyeku

Jorginho

There is no doubt that English Premier League outfit Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has much love for Jorginho, probably because of their relationship as they both came from the Italian Serie A outfit Napoli in the last summer window.

The first decision made by the Chelsea boss is to have Jorginho take over the role of French powerhouse N’Golo Kante at the midfield with the former Leicester City man moved to a more advanced role.

This was met with criticisms with pundits disagreeing with the Italian boss on his decision as they affirm that N’Golo Kante is the right man as the midfield holder. Jorginho was heavily criticized and blamed for his poor outing against Man City which led to their embarrassing defeat.

Whoever, Maurizio Sarri has been told he has no reason to stick to Jorginho as he has got Ethan Ampadu to count on for the job.

Ethan Ampadu who failed to make an impact in the first opportunity given to him against Sheffield in the Wednesday FA Cup is tipped to still hold the key to the club’s future because of the potentials that are glaring for all to see.

However, pundits have held the opinion that Kante is allowed to return back to his natural role.

Maurizio Sarri

There are suggestions that Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will not last any longer as the Blues boss after it has been revealed that the players have been given the hint.

The speculations over the future of the Italian boss became more serious when he led his side to suffered an embarrassing 6-0 defeat against Manchester City which raised doubts over his ability as a sound manager.

However, there are reports that the players are now aware that Maurizio Sarri would be sacked especially if he fails to win any of his next coming games against Man United – the FA Cup, another clash against Man City in the Carabao Cup finals before setting up a Premier League clash against Tottenham consecutively.

A Daily Mail report claims that one of the players has confided in his adviser hinting that Maurizio Sarri could be sacked if he fails to win one out of the next two games.

This places the manager in a very tight situation knowing that his side are not in a good form and he has so far struggled against big sides.

It is claimed that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is unhappy with the situation and will not like to feel inferior amongst big sides like Liverpool and Man City.

Tiemoue Bakayoko is currently having a loan spell at the San Siro and it has been a one to remember that the year he spent with the Stamford Bridge knowing that he struggled to impress at the West London outfit.
