The agent of FC Porto defender Eder Militao has confirmed the interest of Premier League giants Manchester United.
The Red Devils are one of the clubs said to be keen on a transfer for the Brazilian international star ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to begin on January 1.
Ulises Jorge spoke about his client in an interview with Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.
He revealed that Manchester United have had a long-term interest dating back to when Eder Militao was on the payroll of Brazilian Serie A side Sao Paulo.
The player has been in very good form for Portuguese champions FC Porto since he joined the club from the aforementioned Sao Paulo during this summer’s transfer market.
Apart from Manchester United, European heavyweights like Barcelona, Juventus and Chelsea are also said to be interested in the 20-year-old.
Eder Militao is a versatile player who can play as a right-back, at centre-back or in the middle of the park.
Manchester United scouts were in attendance to run the rule over him at the weekend.
He was in action for the entire duration of the game as FC Porto ran out 1-0 winners in their Portuguese Super League game against Boavista.
