English Premier League giants Liverpool are not willing to leave anything to chance in their bid to win a trophy this season.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has been hailed as been a success at the Anfield with his good style of football and also returning the club back to the Champions League.

However, all of the positives have been stained by the fact that he is yet to win a silverware as Liverpool boss and there are increasing concerns to that regard which is gradually mounting pressure on him.

The Reds have got good quality at the defence with former Southampton man Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez as well as Trent Alexander-Arnold but that will not stop them from seeking to add France international defender Benjamin Pavard to the team.

The 22-year-old who plays for Stuttgart has got a release clause of about €35m which is expected to be easy for the Reds to pay.

However, the Reds will have to face competition from Italian side Napoli, Bayern Munich and Tottenham who are also interested in his signature.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be glad to pull a transfer for Benjamin Pavard because of his ability to play in different roles including right-back and central defender.
