Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has given up hopes of signing his number one transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer market scheduled to begin as from the 1st of January.

Metro claims that the Portuguese tactician has accepted defeat in his bid to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly during the winter transfer window.

Earlier reports had revealed that the 27-year-old was his number one defensive target as he tries to boost his ailing Manchester United defence.

The Red Devils defence has been a shadow of its former self.

Manchester United had the best defensive record in the Premier League last season but the team has one of the worst records this season.

The defence has conceded 23 goals in just 14 league games of the new league campaign.

Mourinho has already identified the aforementioned Koulibaly as the man to improve his defence but his club is not willing to let one of its prized assets leave the club on the cheap.

The Italian Serie A giants have already knocked back a big bid for the Senegalese centre-back and the aforementioned publication says that Napoli will only sanction the player’s sale if they can get at least £94m pounds for him.

Paul Pogba

Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly made a big move in their bid to keep star player Paul Pogba at the club beyond this summer.

Manchester United are in serious danger of losing Pogba to another club this season after the French player was linked with an exit.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner talked up a possible move to Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid earlier this year as he described it as a dream transfer.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has spoken to reporters about his compatriot in his recent press conferences.

Pogba has also been linked with a move back to Italian champions Juventus whom he spent four years with.

According to the publication from popular media channel ESPN, Manchester United want to do everything possible to retain the player’s services ahead of next season.

It was revealed that the Red Devils want to offer him the captain’s armband in their quest to secure his services for the new campaign scheduled to start on August 9.

Pogba has two years left on his current deal at Manchester United with the option of another year.

He returned to Manchester United in 2016 in a then world-record fee of around £89m.

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is said to be pushing for the return of Jose Mourinho to the Italian Serie A.

According to Tuttosport, Portuguese national team skipper wants his compatriot to be the next Juventus manager after Maximiliano Allegri.

Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho worked together at Real Madrid for three years between 2010 and 2013 before the former Manchester United boss left the Spanish giants for his second Chelsea spell in the summer of 2013.

Both parties played a big role in the Real Madrid squad that won the Spanish La Liga title during the 2011/12 campaign.

Allegri won an eighth successive league title for Juventus this season.

Big Opposition: Arsenal Face Liverpool Threat For Assist Machine

Europa League finalists Arsenal will have to deal with the threat of Liverpool in the chase for Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser according to The Sun.

Ryan Fraser had a very good Premier League campaign and it’s not surprising that clubs like Arsenal are on his trail.

Champions League finalists Liverpool are the latest club to join the race to sign the aforementioned Fraser.

The London duo of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur had previously been mentioned as a potential transfer destination for the Scottish international player.

Arsenal see him as a possible replacement for Aaron Ramsey who’s expected to link up with his new teammates at Italian champions Juventus at the end of his contract with the Gunners this summer.

Ramsey has agreed on a free transfer move to Juventus with a four-year contract already signed to make him the highest paid footballer in Great Britain at £400,000 per annum.

Tottenham Hotspur have been short in the midfield area since Belgian international star Moussa Dembele left the club for China in January and Ryan Fraser could provide cover in that department.

For Chelsea, Fraser could be a direct replacement for midfielder Cesc Fabregas who left the Blues in January.

Ryan Fraser scored seven goals and also provided 14 assists during the just concluded Premier League season.

Only Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard (15) bagged more assists than Ryan Fraser who has just one year left on his contract at Bournemouth.

This big name linked with a move for Sarri’s job

sarri

Italian manager Maurizio Sarri is still unsafe as the West London outfit Chelsea boss with unending reports linking his job to others.

The former Napoli boss has not been on the good books of the Blues’ fans ever since he joined in the last summer transfer window especially as he failed to deliver a title yet despite sneaking into the top-four to secure qualification to the Champions League.

His relationship with the fans remains a major concern for the Blues owner Roman Abramovich who is reportedly considering to sack him after the Europa League clash against Arsenal later on Thursday.

However, out-going Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri is being linked with the job as he has already made it clear that he would move into management immediately with the next club.

Massimiliano Allegri made his decision to leave the Old Lady after his elimination from the Champions League by Ajax earlier on.

There is no doubt about his ability if Maurizio Sarri would be sacked as he helped the Italian outfit with five Serie A titles in addition to leading them to the finals of the Champions League for two years.

With Chelsea not being able to sign new players, it is yet to be seen if the Juventus boss will find it any easy making such a decision.

Christian Pulisic

The West London outfit Chelsea are already in the mood for Europa League finals against North London side Arsenal later on Thursday with training already heating up.

One thing that has caught attention from pictures made available from the training ground is the sight of American footballer Christian Pulisic which is a hope for the Blues team.

Christian Pulisic is only a new face at the Stanford Bridge but he had signed for the Blues in January and was allowed to spend the remainder of 2018/19 on loan at Borussia Dortmund, from where he was bought.

From every indication, the Blues team will not be allowed to bring in new players in the summer transfer window owing to the hammer on them by the world football governing body FIFA.

Chelsea have been accused of breaching transfer regulations with foreign minor deals and they are only left with the Court of Arbitration for Sports.

However, Christian Pulisic is expected to give a feel of Eden Hazard at the club as manager Maurizio Sarri is not sure the Belgium international can be replaced.

Howbeit, Christian Pulisic might be the only new face at the North London outfit if the transfer ban is not upturned.

Adam Lallana

The English Premier League outfit Liverpool fans seem to be comfortable with the report that their star attacking midfielder, Adam Lallana is hoping to leave the club now that the season has ended.

Adam Lallana joined Liverpool from Southampton in 2014 and has been a major part of the team until he fell out of place in the manager Jurgen Klopp’s team.

However, he is considering to quit and return back to his former Club where he began his professional career and this seems to be accepted by a large number of fans who took to social media to express and grant the approval for him to leave.

While some said it is approved, others wished him well and gave him their prayers.

According to WhoScored , the attacking midfielder has not been favoured in the manager Jurgen Klopp’s team as he made just five starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League while he has played 104 minutes in the Champions League for Liverpool this season.

It is therefore yet to be seen if manager Jurgen Klopp will insist on having the star player at Anfield or will insist on keeping him for another season but decisions regarding the sales of players would be made after the Champions League finals.

Marcos Rojo

The English Premier League outfit Manchester United star player Marcos Rojo has hinted to be on his way out of the Old Trafford.

Marcos Rojo admitted that he would love to return to his country home Argentina before the end of his career.

The Red Devils Defender has not been in the best of form ever since he suffered an injury during the reigns of former manager Jose Mourinho.

It has been suggested that Marcos Rojo’s fitness issues and poor form are  the reason why he seeks to leave the club for other destination unless the situation is able to improve for him.

With manager Ole Gunnar solskjaer keen to have a total overhaul of his team, it will not be out of place to say that the job has been made easy as Marcos Rojo could be part of those that will be leaving.

Their defence  was deficient and weak last season and those that failed to impress would be shown the way out of the club.

Manager Ole Gunnar solskjaer is reportedly going to have a transfer Kitty off £100 million to be able to achieve all of these.

The English Premier League outfit Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar solskjaer has not been left alone in the decision to rebuild the team ahead of the coming season.

Rebuilding Manchester United after a very disappointing season involves doing away with a number of players and most importantly, bringing in new players in this coming summer transfer window.

However, ole Gunnar solskjaer was advised by former teammate Darren Fletcher to move in for the signature of Stoke City Defender Nathan Collins and it is reported that he is already working towards that with a bid set to be submitted.

And the Norwegian boss has also been urged to sign Swansea star Daniel James by another teammate Ryan Giggs after it has been revealed that the player will only cost £15 million.

Both players suggested by the former Manchester United players are known to have big qualities, having impressed in the just-concluded season.

They have both been tipped to be able to play at a big level and continue their development if they are eventually signed as Man United players.

Meanwhile, manager Ole Gunnar solskjaer will have his attention on the defence after experiencing all of the errors which halted their qualification to the Champions League.
