Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has revealed that Arsenal have made an offer for Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente.
Eduardo Inda said this while he was on the ElChiringuito de Jugones TV Show on Tuesday.
It was also revealed that fellow Spanish club Sevilla and some German sides are also interested in the 23-year-old.
Arsenal had earlier been linked with Marcos Llorente last year but nothing came out of it.
Real Madrid turned down the enquiries made for one of their young players with the Los Merengues saying that Marcos Llorente won’t leave the club in the upcoming transfer.
The decision on the part of the European champions is a bit strange considering that Llorente has been on the fringes of the Real Madrid first team.
He has made just four appearances for the Champions League holders this season.
It’s not surprising that the Gunners are looking for midfield reinforcements in the transfer market with the Arsenal future of midfielders Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil still uncertain.
Ramsey will become a free agent at the end of his Arsenal contract next summer following the club’s stance not to offer him a new deal while Mesut Ozil is set to be unsettled under the managerial regime of new boss Unai Emery.
