North London giants Arsenal are prepared to let injured forward Danny Welbeck leave the club at the end of this season.
Danny Welbeck has just six months left on his contract at Arsenal and his future is in serious doubt as a result.
The Daily Mail says that the England international star will leave the club alongside wantaway midfielder Aaron Ramsey as the Arsenal boss, Unai Emery, attempts to free up some funds for transfers.
Danny Welbeck is presently out of the team as a result of an injury.
The former Sunderland and Manchester United attacker suffered a serious ankle injury while he was playing for the Gunners in their Europa League clash with Portuguese Super League giants Sporting Lisbon.
Welbeck broke his ankle during the first half of that game and he won’t be available for selection for the foreseeable future as a result.
The player will miss the rest of the season with the injury.
With the latest development, Danny Welbeck will end his five-year stay at the Emirates Stadium having joined from rivals Manchester United in 2014.
Arsenal were said to have paid around £16m to secure his transfer from the Red Devils.
Danny Welbeck previously sustained two long-term knee injuries at the club before his latest injury setback.
