Premier League giants Manchester United have been quoted the asking price for one of their January transfer targets.
Brazilian defender Eder Militao has been the subject of transfer speculation with several reports linking him with a move to Old Trafford.
Eder Militao plays his club football for Portuguese Super League champions, FC Porto.
Portuguese newspaper A Bola say that his club would only entertain offers from interested clubs willing to pay the £44m release in his current FC Porto contract.
Manchester United will also have to contend with Premier League rivals Chelsea who are also interested in the young defender.
Eder Militao is a right-back but he has excelled at centre back for his Portuguese team.
The 20-year-old can also play as a defensive midfielder.
FC Porto signed him from Brazilian Serie A side Sao Paulo in the summer and he has been able to feature 13 times for the team in all competitions.
His FC Porto form earned him an invitation to the Brazilian national team in September.
He made his debut for the five-time world champions in the big win over El Salvador.
Eder Militao has played well for his Portuguese side in both the league and Champions League.
