The Premier League duo of Manchester United and Liverpool will go head-to-head with each other in the race to sign young Birmingham City striker Romello Mitchell.
The player has earned rave reviews for his performances in the colours of the Midland club.
The 15-year-old striker has been in sensational form for Birmingham City this season.
According to the Daily Star, both Manchester United and Liverpool are looking to recruit Mitchell into their respective Academy teams when the upcoming transfer window reopens in the next few weeks.
The young English attacker has played for both the Birmingham City u16s and u18s this season.
He has already scored against the two teams this season.
Romello Mitchell was on target twice for the Blues u16 team in their cup final triumph over Liverpool.
He’s definitely one for the future but both clubs are keen to sign him when the January transfer window reopens.
Mitchell won’t be the instant solution to the lack of goals on the part of the Manchester United attackers.
Red Devils forwards like Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford have all struggled to find the back of the net on a consistent basis for the club since the start of this campaign.
