West London side Chelsea have stopped move of star defender Cesar Azpilicueta by handing him a new contract that will have him remain at the Stamford Bridge much longer.

Before now, Cesar Azpilicueta is believed to be linked to other clubs who are interested in him with reports stating that he could be on his way out of the club in January when the winter transfer window reopens.

However, that will no longer happen as Cesar Azpilicueta has been handed a new 4-year-deal which is enough to drive away all suitors who are looking forward to unsettling him at the Stamford Bridge.

Cesar Azpilicueta is currently having bad times in the Maurizio Sarri team with his poorest form ever at the Stamford Bridge; a development that seems to be unsettling him.

However, the defender still remains a favourite at the club and that is a major reason for why he would be handed a new deal to join French midfielder N’Golo Kante and Marcos Alonso as the players who received new deals in recent months.

The West London club are desperate to win a title this season and they are expected to do all it takes to have their squad together.
