It has been revealed that Chelsea star Gary Cahill has been rejected by Italian Serie A side AC Milan and will not be moving that direction in January when the transfer window reopens.
According to talkSPORT, the West London side offered the central defender to the Serie A outfit after he insisted he was leaving to secure regular playing time elsewhere.
Gary Cahill was at the heart of the Chelsea defence but that has since faded away with the coming of Italian manager Maurizio Sarri who has not favoured the former Bolton Wanderers player.
However, efforts to have him leave is now proving difficult with the management of the Italian side citing age as the reason why they will not be needing Gary Cahill.
AC Milan insist they need a young defender who can remain at the club for a longer period and has the energy to pull a fight as they are currently short of such quality at the club.
Meanwhile, there are chances that Gary Cahill will still be on his way out of the Stamford Bridge because he has got lots of suitors both within out outside the English Premier League, with West Ham, Southampton and Aston Villa mentioned as suitors.
