Italian Serie A giants AS Roma are the newest club to join the race for the services of Manchester United defender Eric Bailly ahead of the mid-season transfer window.
Bailly, 24, is wanted by other clubs despite the fact that he has fallen out of favour with manager Jose Mourinho this season.
The Ivorian international player was one of the first signings under the managerial era of Mourinho.
The Portuguese tactician replaced Dutchman Louis Van Gaal (LVG) as the Manchester United manager and the signing of Eric Bailly almost followed immediately.
Bailly joined from Spanish La Liga outfit Villareal for a fee around £30m.
He started the new season in the starting XI before he was substituted very early in the 3-2 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford in October.
Mourinho has preferred the centre-back partnership of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.
His situation at the club has led to transfer rumours.
Eric Bailly has been linked with clubs like Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, AS Roma and AC Milan.
It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils would be willing to sell him to the Premier League duo of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham and Arsenal are in the battle for the Premier League top four alongside Manchester United.
