Former Arsenal defender Lauren Etame Meyer has called on the club to sign two French players to boost their impressive start to the season.
The Gunners have started the season well under new manager Unai Emery and club legend Lauren wants the club to move for the French attacking duo of Anthony Martial and Ousmane Dembele.
He said this in an interview with Sporting Bet via football365.
Lauren was part of the Arsenal squad that went through the 2003/04 Premier League season without a single defeat and he’s certain that Martial and Dembele will improve the Arsenal squad a great deal.
Anthony Martial could leave Manchester United with his current deal expected to expire at the end of this season though the Red Devils have the right to exercise the clause of an extra year in his present contract thus taking him until the end of the 2019/20 season.
For Dembele, the Barcelona winger has had an eventful 18 months since he signed for the club last summer.
He joined Barcelona from German Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of €105m plus €35m in add-ons.
Dembele has battled with disciplinary issues at the Nou Camp and he’s said to be unsettled at the club.
