North London giants Arsenal have emerged as one of the favourites to sign unsettled Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez.
The 29-year-old has endured a torrid time at Old Trafford since he signed for the Red Devils.
Alexis Sanchez became a Manchester United player during the penultimate transfer window in January when the Red Devils secured a move for him ahead of city rivals and Premier League holders Manchester City.
The former Udinese and Barcelona player joined Manchester United from Arsenal in a swap deal involving Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Since his move to Old Trafford, the Chilean international star has failed to live up to expectations and has already lost his place in the Manchester United starting XI.
Alexis Sanchez has scored just four goals for the Red Devils.
His relationship with manager Jose Mourinho is said to be at an all-time low thereby leading to transfer rumours of him moving away from the club despite the fact that his current Manchester United deal does not expire until the end of the 2021/22 season.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are third favourites to re-sign him behind French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona.
The Gunners are at the odds of 9/1 to sign him behind PSG (3/1) and Barcelona (8/1).
