Club Legend Supports Arsenal Move For Highly Rated Winger
Arsenal legend Ray Parlour has thrown his weight behind the move for highly-rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele when the transfer window reopens in the next few weeks.
Dembele has been heavily linked with a transfer to Arsenal as the North Londoners search for a replacement for the injured Danny Welbeck.
The former Arsenal midfielder talked about the Gunners’ quest to sign the 21-year-old in a chat with Starsport.
Arsenal are not the only club interested in the Frenchman.
Fellow Premier League clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea are also keen on a move for the World Cup winner.
- Chelsea winning the race for 20-year-old forward
- Time has come for Chelsea star to challenge teammates for set-piece duties
Ousmane Dembele was part of the French team that won a second title at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia via a 4-2 win over fellow European nation Croatia.
The former Rennes player has battled with disciplinary problems at Barcelona this season with several reports claiming that he has fallen out with manager Ernesto Valverde.
Despite the aforementioned issues, the French international winger has managed to score seven goals in all competitions for Barcelona.
The last of those goals came on Saturday night when he rescued a point for the Blaugrana in a 1-1 draw at the home of Spanish La Liga title rivals Atletico Madrid.
