Arsenal could do battle with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who are massive favourites to sign Napoli midfielder Allan when the January transfer window reopens in the coming weeks.

The report from footballfancast reveals that the Gunners could yet join their rivals in the bid to sign the Brazilian midfielder.

Tottenham Hotspur have already concluded plans to make a bid for the 27-year-old in the New Year.

Italian publication Calcio Napoli24 is adamant that Tottenham will splash the sum of £35m (€40m) on Allan when the transfer window reopens.

Tottenham Hotspur made history for the wrong reason at the end of the last transfer window.

Spurs didn’t make any signing thereby becoming the first team to do so.

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy would be hoping to make that right in the upcoming transfer market.

Arsenal might rival Levy and Tottenham for Allan with the club in search of midfield reinforcements.

Two Arsenal midfielders namely Aaron Ramsey and Mohamed ElNeny could leave the Gunners in the New Year.

Welsh international star Ramsey is on his way out of Arsenal after he was not offered a new contract, while ElNeny is out-of-favour amidst strong interest from Premier League side Leicester City.

North London giants Arsenal have received a big blow in the chase for highly rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele following the news that club skipper Lionel Messi wants him to stay at Nou Camp.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi is regarded as one of the most influential figures at Barcelona having played with the distinction for the Spanish champions for the better part of the last 15 years.

Football.london claim that Messi regards the young French international player as a big player for Barcelona in their pursuit of honours in three major competitions namely Champions League, Spanish Copa Del Rey and the Spanish La Liga.

Ousmane Dembele has had to deal with the consequences of his disciplinary issues this season with senior club officials unhappy with his conduct.

The 21-year-old was said to have gotten to Barcelona training two hours late at the weekend to further compound his woes at the club.

His off-field conduct is in stark contrast to his form on the pitch where he has scored eight goals in all competitions for Barcelona this season.

French Ligue 1 giants Marseille are reportedly eyeing a transfer for experienced Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal ahead of the upcoming transfer market scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.

This is according to the publication from respected French media platform France Football.

It was revealed that the 2018 Europa League finalists are on the search for a new left-back to complement Jordan Amavi and that they have identified Spanish international player Monreal as a possible signing.

Marseille are also interested in a transfer for another Premier League left-back.

The previously mentioned report also confirmed that the 1993 Champions League winners are weighing up a move for Liverpool Alberto Moreno.

The 26-year-old has lost his starting place in the Liverpool first team following the emergence of Scottish international captain Andy Robertson last season.

Nacho Monreal has been a mainstay of the Arsenal since he joined the club from Malaga in January 2013.

He has scored seven times in 170 appearances in the Premier League.

Monreal, 31, was part of the Arsenal team that won three FA Cup titles in four seasons under the guidance of former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

French Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Marseille are reportedly keen on having the signature of Arsenal and Liverpool stars Nacho Monreal and Alberto Monero respectively.

Marseille are expected to face a battle from Paris Saint Germain in their quest for the English Premier League duo due to the interest they have also shown.

The French side are hoping to change the fate of the club in the second half of the season which starts in January by making good use of the winter transfer window which reopens in coming weeks.

Marseille are currently fifth in the standing which makes them face the risk of missing out of the Champions League next season as well winning the league title this season.

However, the Liverpool man is out of favour at the Anfield and is already seeking a move away which hands the French side a big boost to have his signature.

On the other hand, the North London side are already seeking for a replacement for the Spanish left full-back as a result of his injury and age.

However, with both Spanish stars playing the same role, the French outfit could succeed in having the Liverpool man as a result of his availability ahead of the winter transfer window.

Ousmane Dembele

Premier League giants Arsenal have been told what to do if they want to sign Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele ahead of the January transfer window.

Dembele has been attracting the interests of several Premier League clubs including the Gunners.

Apart from the North London side, English sides like Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have all been mentioned as potential transfer destinations for the French international player.

Spanish media outlet El Confidencial say that Arsenal and the aforementioned clubs can sign Dembele if they come up with a big transfer bid for him.

The 21-year-old joined the Spanish La Liga champions last summer in a deal worth €105m plus a €35m fee dependent on add-ons.

His debut season at Barcelona didn’t go as planned due to the hamstring and thigh injuries that he suffered.

Dembele scored just four goals in all competitions for the Blaugrana last season as a result.

His second season has been much better with eight goals scored in all competitions and the season is not at the halfway stage yet.

Despite his form, Ousmane Dembele has had disciplinary issues to deal with at the club.

Alberto Moreno

2018 Europa League finalists Marseille are plotting a move for Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno ahead of the mid-season transfer window scheduled to start in the next few weeks.

Alberto Moreno has been on the outskirts of the Liverpool team thereby leading to transfer talks about his long-term future at the club.

The 26-year-old has six months remaining on the five-year contract that he signed when he joined the club from Spanish La Liga giants Sevilla.

The Reds paid around £12m to sign the Sevilla Academy graduate.

He was the first choice left-back in his early days at Liverpool before things went downhill for the Spanish international defender.

Moreno initially lost his place to utility player James Milner before the emergence of Scottish international captain Andy Robertson as the regular first choice left-back in the last campaign.

Robertson joined Liverpool from relegated Hull City at the start of last season.

French giants Marseille lost 2-0 to eventual champions Atletico Madrid in the final of the 2018 Europa League in May and they would be hoping to go one better in this season’s edition of the competition.

The French giants want to boost their squad with quality signings like Alberto Moreno.

Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny could leave the club when the January transfer window reopens in few weeks time following the news that the Gunners are in the hunt for a German Bundesliga midfield star.

According to the publication from footballtransfertavern, Arsenal are one of the clubs keen on a move for highly-rated TSG Hoffenheim midfielder Nadiem Amiri.

His signing could pave the way for Mohamed Elneny to leave the Emirates Stadium.

Mesut Ozil

North London giants Arsenal are considering the idea of letting playmaker Mesut Ozil leave the club when the January transfer window reopens in few weeks time.

Gunners midfielder Ozil has missed the last five games with a back injury but that has not stopped the transfer talks about his future in North London.

The Daily Mail say that Arsenal are beginning to warm up to the idea of playing games without Ozil.

Mesut Ozil is currently on a weekly wage of £350,000 and senior Arsenal officials are happy to get his huge salary off the club’s wage bill.

Three-time European champions Manchester United have found the amount of the transfer fee that would be required to sign one of their targets ahead of the upcoming winter transfer window.

The Red Devils are long-term admirers of Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil and they can sign him in a cut-price deal as confirmed by The Sun via the sportsman.

Arsenal are ready to move him on to another club in the quest to get his £350,000 salary off their wage bill.

Without Ozil, Arsenal defeated the South Coast club 2-1 courtesy goals from Jefferson Lerma (own goal) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Nicolas Pépé

Newly promoted Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers are the latest European club to show an interest in Lille forward Nicolas Pepe ahead of the mid-season transfer window scheduled to begin in few weeks time.

According to the publication from hitc, scouts from Wolves were in attendance to run the rule over him during his Lille side’s win over Montpellier last week.

Ivorian international winger Nicolas Pepe is one of the most sought-after forwards in European football.

He has been strongly linked with Arsenal in recent weeks as Gunners boss Unai Emery look to offset the loss of Danny Welbeck to injury by signing a forward player.

Danny Welbeck was doing well and also scoring goals for the Gunners before his unfortunate injury against Portuguese Super League club Sporting Lisbon.

The 27-year-old sustained a serious ankle injury and thereafter underwent two surgeries to correct the problem.

He’s now expected to miss the rest of the season thus leaving Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette as the only senior striker options at the club.

Pepe would definitely be a fantastic addition to the Gunners setup as the North Londoners battle the trio of Chelsea, Manchester United and rivals Tottenham Hotspur for a top-four spot at the end of this season.
