Emerging report from England says West London side Chelsea have opened talks with Manchester United central defender Eric Bailly over a possible switch to the Stamford Bridge in the coming winter transfer market.
The Blues are making efforts to have a replacement for Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen who are both keen on leaving the Stamford Bridge in the new year.
The United central defender has been penned down as a good replacement for the duo knowing that he is keen on leaving the Red Devils as soon as the transfer window opens in January.
Eric Bailly only arrived the Old Trafford in 2016 from Spanish side Villarreal with a fee of £34 million and seem to have fallen out of favour with manager Jose Mourinho.
This development is believed to be a big blow to North London side Arsenal who are also keen on the player with reports that a bid for the Ivory Coast defender is already being prepared.
However, a number of big European clubs have lined up for the signature of the 24-year-old including Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan and Tottenham having identified his age as a big advantage.
Meanwhile Eric Bailly is contracted with United until 2020 and has got a release clause of about £40 million which Chelsea are willing to pay.
