Manchester United could lose one of their prized assets after striker Romelu Lukaku sounded out his agent to get him a move to Real Madrid ahead of the mid-season transfer window scheduled to start in the next few weeks.
According to the publication from Don Balon via CaughtOffside, Lukaku is fed up with the antics of manager Jose Mourinho amidst his goal drought for Manchester United.
It was further revealed that the Belgian international player has told Mino Raiola (his agent) to see if a transfer to European champions Real Madrid could be on the cards.
Manchester United and Romelu Lukaku have had a disappointing start to the new season.
The Red Devils are seventh on the Premier League table.
On his own part, Romelu Lukaku has failed to score for Manchester United in his last ten appearances for the former Premier League winners.
Apart from Real Madrid, the 25-year-old has been linked with a return to former club Everton.
Lukaku signed for the Red Devils from the Merseyside club during last summer’s transfer window.
Manchester United paid around £75m to secure his signing from Everton.
The former Chelsea and West Brom star emerged as the leading Manchester United goalscorer in his debut season for the club.
