Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a move for highly rated FC Porto defender Eder Militao ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start in the next few weeks.
According to the publication from the Daily Record via popular media platform ESPN, the Red Devils are in search of defensive reinforcements and that they have identified the 20-year-old as a potential transfer target.
Eder Militao joined Portuguese champions FC Porto during the summer and he has impressed for the club ever since.
He signed for the former Champions League winners from Brazilian Serie A side Sao Paulo for just €4m plus 10% of his next transfer fee.
His impressive performances have propelled FC Porto to the top of the Portuguese top flight league table and top of their Champions League group.
Eder Militao played at right-back for Sao Paulo but the Brazilian defender has switched to centre back since he swapped Brazil for Portugal in the summer.
He’s already a full Brazilian international after he made his debut for the five-time world champions in September.
Eder Militao would be a quality addition to an ailing Manchester United.
He will also add versatility to the team since he can function well at both right-back and the middle of defence.
