English Premier League giants Liverpool are reported to have started negotiation in order to complete the signing of Borussia Monchengladbach striker Alassane Plea in the coming winter transfer window.
The Reds are running short of strikers with Origi and Dominick Solanke both proving to be ineffective for the club and leaving the burden alone on Egyptian Mohamed Salah, Brazilian Roberto Firmino and Senegal international Sadio Mane to bear.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is one of those who have been able to pay attention to Alassane Plea’s performance this season and have been impressed so far.
The German boss is therefore keen on having his signature as he wishes to end his three-year trophy drought since his emergence as the Merseyside club boss.
Alassane Plea joined the German Bundesliga outfit from Nice in the last summer with a fee of £30 million and has impressed so far with eight goals in 10 games and three assists across all competitions.
Although Alassane Plea has a contract with the German outfit until 2023 with a release clause of about £35 million, he might be lured out of the club with a huge offer from the English Premier League giants who are desperate for a title win.
