Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has emerged as one of the shot stoppers on the Red Devils’ radar as they prepare for life without first choice goalkeeper David De Gea.
There are serious doubts over the future of the Spanish international goal minder with the former Atletico Madrid star contracted to Manchester United until the end of this season.
David De Gea has six months left on his contract with the Red Devils but the club can activate the clause of an additional year in his deal to take him till the end of the 2019/20 season.
The Spaniard has been linked with transfers to clubs like Italian Serie A champions Juventus and French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
Manchester United have already identified Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Oblak as a potential replacement for De Gea according to iNews.
The Slovenian international shot stopper has a release clause of £87m in his current Atletico Madrid deal though the club has been trying to double it to ward off the interests of other clubs.
Jan Oblak is widely regarded as one of the best goalkeepers on the world football stage.
He has made 174 appearances for his team since joining from Portuguese side Benfica in 2014.
