Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic has opened up about his dream of playing in the Premier League before the end of his career.
Perisic, 29, talked up a Premier League move in an interview with trusted Italian media outlet calciomercato via football365.
The Croatian international player came close to joining Manchester United during last summer’s transfer window but the move didn’t eventually happen.
He was denied a transfer to the Premier League after Inter Milan and Manchester United failed to agree to a fee for him to join the Red Devils.
The three-time European champions were unable to meet the asking price for him from the Nerazzurri despite the fact that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was desperate for him to join.
The World Cup star went on to sign a new contract after his move fell through.
Ivan Perisic was one of the standout performers at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He was part of the Croatia squad that surprisingly reached the final of the tournament before they were beaten 4-2 by eventual winners Croatia.
Ivan Perisic has not started the new season well and reports claim that Inter Milan could be open to his sale for around £31m when the transfer window reopens in the next few weeks.
