Liverpool are reported to be monitoring the progress of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele with the hope of having his signature according to The Mirror.

Tanguy Ndombele was one of the best in the league last season and that has not changed yet as he started this current campaign on a high with unbelievable performances.

The 21-year-old is one of the players who executed Manchester City defeat earlier in the Champions League this season in addition to scoring two goals as a midfielder and handing four assists with the Ligue 1 outfit.

The Reds will, therefore, battle North London club Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton who have also reported to have scouted the French international in the past and will not hesitate in signing him once an opportunity comes up.

However, it is unsure if Tanguy Ndombele will be able to beat the competition in the Reds midfield if he is eventually signed owing to the many options in the position.

Liverpool are keen on winning a title this term with manager Jurgen Klopp already placed under pressure to win a silverware or might be shown the way out of the club.

The Reds are seeking to return back to winning ways having lost out of the top teams in England before the coming of the German manager.
