Transfer reports linking Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey with a move to German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are wide off the mark according to well-respected journalist Raphael Honigstein.
The German debunked those transfer rumours involving the Welsh international star while he was on the Totally Football Show with James Richardson.
According to him via his statements monitored by the Daily Star, the Ramsey to Bayern Munich transfer reports are non-existent in the German media which is unlike what’s obtainable with transfers involving the Bavarian giants.
English news portal Independent had earlier revealed this month that Bayern Munich have made a breakthrough in talks with Aaron Ramsey’s representatives and that they are overwhelming favourites to sign him when his Arsenal contract expires at the end of this season.
Ramsey is on his way out of the club after the North Londoners failed to give a contract extension.
The Welshman was initially handed a new contract offer before the Arsenal hierarchy changed their mind by withdrawing the new contract offered to him.
He has been strongly linked to several European clubs since the news of the contract withdrawal broke.
The former Cardiff City playmaker has been linked with clubs like Juventus, AC Milan, Manchester United, Liverpool and many more.
