Arsenal have a big fight on their hands in their quest to sign highly-rated Norwegian midfielder Sander Berge ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.

Sander Berge plays his club football at Belgian Jupiler League champions Genk at the moment.

According to an exclusive report from trusted English news outlet TeamTalk, Arsenal will have to plot a way past Tottenham in the bid to sign the 20-year-old.

It was revealed that Tottenham are leading the race to sign him when the mid-season transfer window reopens in some weeks time and that the player has been on Spurs’ radar since the age of 16.

The report further claimed that Sander Berge came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur before he signed for Genk in January 2017.

Sander Berge also underwent trials at several English clubs like Everton, Arsenal and West Ham United before the Genk transfer.

It was disclosed that as much as ten Premier League clubs are interested in a January move for him due to his impressive outings for Genk.

The Norwegian international star has made 15 appearances for his club this season and he’s rated at around €15m.

Sander Berge has featured 12 times for Norway.
