Former Champions League winners Manchester United are keen to sign Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic when the winter transfer window reopens in few weeks time.
According to the report from popular English media portal Sky Sports via thehardtackle, the Red Devils have identified the 21-year-old as a major transfer target in the New Year.
Nikola Milenkovic has been in fantastic form for Fiorentina in the new Italian Serie A season.
He joined Fiorentina from Serbian side Partizan Belgrade during last summer’s transfer window.
The Italians were said to have paid a bargain transfer fee of around €5.1m.
The Serbian international centre back made 16 appearances for Fiorentina last season as he acclimatised to his new surroundings.
Milenkovic has been more involved from the start of this season and has impressed a great deal weighing up with two goals.
He has 10 caps for Serbia since he made his debut against Asian side Qatar in 2016.
Milenkovic was part of the Serbian national team squad that failed to qualify for the knockout stage at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
He played in all of the three group games for his beloved country as Serbia finished in third spot in Group E behind group leaders Brazil and fellow European side Switzerland.
