Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are the latest club to be linked with controversial Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
According to the publication from trusted English news portal Daily Mirror, Inter Milan are ready to do battle with Italian Derby rivals Juventus in the quest to sign the Frenchman.
It was revealed that incoming Inter Milan CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Beppe Marotta will spearhead the push for Pogba at the expense of his former employers Juventus.
Marotta was a director at the Juventus Stadium until he left the Old Lady so as to take up the Inter Milan job.
He has a close relationship with Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola and that could be a key factor in the chase for the France World Cup winner.
Paul Pogba had earlier been heavily linked with a move back to Italy with Serie A champions Juventus where he enjoyed four hugely successful seasons before returning to Manchester United.
The 25-year-old has had several feuds with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho and he’s said to be ready to quit the Theatre of Dreams as a result of his frosty relationship with the Portuguese tactician.
Apart from Inter Milan and Juventus, he has also been linked with clubs like Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Barcelona.
