Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly open to the sale of highly rated defender Milan Skriniar when the January transfer window reopens in five weeks time.
According to the report from Italian news outlet Tuttosport via insidefutbol, the Champions League campaigners want to sell the Slovakian international centre back following the failure to agree a new contract with him.
Milan Skriniar has been linked with a transfer out of the club on the back of his impressive outings for Inter Milan since he made the move to the former European champions in the summer of 2017.
Milan Skriniar joined Inter Milan last year after the Nerazurri paid €20m to secure his signing from fellow Italian Serie A side Sampdoria.
The 23-year-old is the number one defensive target for Manchester United ahead of the January transfer window as reported by various British media outlets.
The Red Devils are on the lookout for a new centre back as they bid to address their much publicised defensive issues.
Apart from Slovak defender Skriniar, Manchester United have been linked with other centre backs.
Others linked with a move to Manchester United include Diego Godin, Daniele Rugani, Harry Maguire, Toby Alderweireld, Jerome Boateng and Gary Cahill.
