Three-time European champions Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their bid to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
The 24-year-old is reportedly on his way out of the Juventus Stadium following his lack of playing opportunities with the Old Lady.
The Red Devils have been boosted after the player’s father hinted that his son would soon end his nightmarish spell with the Italian Serie A giants Juventus.
Ubaldo Rugani (the father of Daniele Rugani) took to his Facebook page via the Daily Star to hint at the exit of the Italian international centre back.
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is on the search for defensive reinforcements and Daniele Rugani has been touted as a potential signing for the Red Devils.
He requested for a new centre-back signing during the summer’s transfer window but the club failed to sign any and that has come back to haunt Mourinho.
Without a new centre-back, Manchester United have the worst defensive record in the top 14 of the Premier League after conceding 21 goals in the first twelve games of the new season.
Manchester United have kept just one clean sheet this season.
