Italian Serie A champions Juventus have slapped a €20m price target on Moroccan international defender Mehdi Benatia ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
The 31-year-old has been a target for Premier League sides ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsenal and Manchester United have been touted as possible transfer destinations for Benatia.
The Moroccan centre-back has endured limited playing time with the Old Lady in the new campaign and that has prompted transfer talks of him leaving the Juventus Stadium in search of more first-team opportunities.
Mehdi Benatia was a regular fixture in the Juventus starting XI before the return of Italian international defender Leonardo Bonucci during the summer’s transfer window.
He signed for the club last summer after Juventus agreed to a fee of around €17m with German champions Bayern Munich and went on to make 33 appearances for the Old Lady in all competitions.
Benatia was signed as a replacement for the aforementioned Bonucci only for him to return to the club from rivals AC Milan after one season at the San Siro.
Arsenal and Manchester United are said to be keen on boosting their respective defences ahead of the second half of the season.
