Jose Mourinho January Transfer Targets Revealed
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen to strengthen his squad when the mid-season transfer window reopens in the next few weeks as he bids to rescue his team from a disappointing start to the new campaign.
According to MEN (Manchester Evening News), Mourinho and Manchester United have identified three top targets ahead of the transfer window.
It was revealed that the trio of Diego Godin, Lorenzo Pellegrini and Gary Cahill have emerged as the transfer targets for the Red Devils ahead of January.
Manchester United were interested in a move for Atletico Madrid skipper Diego Godin in the summer but the Uruguayan international player turned down a move to Old Trafford despite the fact that the Red Devils were ready to pay the release clause in his contract.
Godin was said to be only interested in staying in Spain.
Mourinho would be hoping that his stance has changed as the Red Devils have again been linked with a transfer for him.
Italian international midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini plays his club football for Italian Serie A giants AS Roma and he has emerged as a possible midfield reinforcement for Manchester United.
Lastly, Chelsea defender Gary Cahill is no stranger to Mourinho after they worked together at Stamford Bridge.
