Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will reportedly try to convince Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele about a transfer to the Gunners ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January.
According to the publication from Spanish news outlet via Sky Sports, Gabonese international Aubameyang is keen for pal Dembele to join him in North London.
Aubameyang and Dembele enjoyed a very good relationship on and off the field while both players were on the payroll of German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.
Dembele was the first to leave Borussia Dortmund following his transfer to Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona in a deal reported to be for an initial fee of €105m plus €35m in add-ons.
The 21-year-old forward moved to Barcelona during last summer’s transfer window.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang followed him out of Dortmund some months later following his move to Arsenal.
The former Saint Etienne player signed for the Gunners during the penultimate transfer window in January.
Arsenal paid a club record fee of around £57m to snap him up from the German club and the Gunners would need more in their quest to sign his pal Dembele.
Apart from Arsenal, Premier League sides like Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with the 2018 World Cup winner.
