Arsenal have 30% chance of signing highly-rated Cagliari midfielder Nicolo Barella according to the reports coming out of Italy.
The Gunners are one of the numerous European sides said to be interested in making a move for the young midfielder.
According to trusted Italian news portal Gazzetta Dello Sport, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Inter Milan and AS Roma are all keen on a transfer for the Italian international player.
It was further revealed that the trio of Inter Milan, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have 30% chance of signing him ahead of the upcoming transfer window scheduled to start as from the 1st of January, while AS Roma have just 10% chance of signing the 21-year-old.
Nicolo Barella is widely regarded as one of the best young midfielders in world football.
His impressive outings for Cagliari led to his invitation to the Italian national team under the guidance of former Manchester City and Zenit St. Petersburg boss Roberto Mancini.
Barella made his debut for Italy during the international friendly match with fellow Europeans Ukraine.
He impressed a great deal as both sides played out a 1-1 draw.
The Italian midfielder could be the replacement for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey who’s on his way out of the club following the decision not to give him a new contract.
