European champions Real Madrid have reportedly joined Italian Serie A side Juventus in the race to sign forward Marcus Rashford ahead of the January transfer window.
According to the publication from the Daily Mail and monitored by the Daily Express, the Champions League holders are preparing a £90m bid for both Marcus Rashford and Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen.
Earlier media reports had claimed that Juventus are strongly interested in the 21-year-old England international player and have already compiled a dossier on him.
Juventus were handed the chance to look at Rashford from close quarters after they faced Manchester United twice in Group H of this season’s Champions League.
Real Madrid lost the services of Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer following his move to Juventus and are yet to replace him.
His departure has rocked the Los Merengues who had a poor start to the season before new manager Santiago Solari stemmed the tide with four wins from four games in all competitions.
The signing of Rashford would go a long way to soften the blow of losing Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils would let the Manchester United Academy graduate leave without a fight.
