Exciting Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele faces a big fight to save his football career at the Nou Camp after he was handed an ultimatum to improve his disciplinary record or face the exit door.
The 21-year-old has failed to justify his hefty transfer fee since he signed for the Spanish La Liga champions during last summer’s transfer window.
Dembele became the most expensive teenager in world football when he joined Barcelona from German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund for an initial fee of €105m plus €35m in add-ons.
The former Rennes player battled with fitness issues in his first campaign as a Barcelona player but he recovered to contribute his own part to a successful season under manager Ernesto Valverde.
Barcelona won both the Spanish La Liga and Spanish Copa Del Rey titles.
Ousmane Dembele then helped the French team win a second World Cup title at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
France manager Didier Deschamps led the team to victory via a 4-2 win over fellow European side Croatia.
Buoyed by the World Cup title, Dembele started his second Barcelona season well contributing six goals and two assists until recently when he started having disciplinary problems at the club.
