Manchester United midfielder Juan Manuel Mata is bidding his time before arriving at the decision over his Old Trafford future according to sources close to the ESPN.
Mata, 30, has less than a year remaining on his current contract with the Red Devils.
The Spanish international player has been offered a new contract at Manchester United but he’s said to be taking his time before making a decision on the contract offer.
Juan Mata joined Manchester United in January 2014 after the club agreed a then club record fee of £37.1m with rivals Chelsea for his signature.
He has become an integral part of the Manchester United squad since then.
Mata was sold by Chelsea while Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho was at the club but the pair have enjoyed a good working relationship at Old Trafford since the Portuguese tactician became the United boss in 2016.
The Spaniard has made over 40 appearances for the Red Devils in each of the last two seasons under the guidance of Mourinho.
He could link up with the Arsenal manager Unai Emery at the end of his current Manchester United contract.
Mata has been linked with a move to the Gunners.
He’s no stranger to Unai Emery after he featured for Valencia under his watch between 2008 and 2011.
