Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has revealed that he almost made a mistake of snubbing the Anfield club for Stock City while he was leaving Hull City.
Finally, Andy Robertson made the decision to join the Reds in 2017 with a fee of £8 million and has become one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players in the team.
The Scotland international skipper revealed that he was almost convinced by Mark Hughes who was the then Stock manager through some chats and he was convinced that they were keen on having him join the club.
Andy Robertson noted that the fact that Hull City finished top 10 that season was enough reason for him to consider a move to Stoke but he eventually moved to the Anfield after a call from the German manager.
Although, Andy Robertson struggled in his first season with Liverpool as he saw only 10 games in a total of 30 matches in all competitions between August and December which was not good enough.
The story has now changed for the 24-year-old who is now an important member of the Klopp team.
Andy Robertson has now helped Liverpool to go the season so far with an unbeaten record in the English premier League.
