Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly identified a potential replacement for goalkeeper David De Gea.
According to the publication from popular English media portal The Sun, the Red Devils have made Everton shot-stopper Jordan Pickford their number one transfer target to replace Spanish international player David De Gea.
It was further revealed that Manchester United will only make a move for Pickford if Manchester United decide to cash in on De Gea who has less than a year left on his Red Devils contract though the 11-time Premier League champions have decided to invoke the clause of an extra year.
Juventus are said to be interested in the former Atletico Madrid star but will wait till he has one year left at Old Trafford or after the expiration of his contract at the end of the 2019/20 season.
Everton goal minder Pickford has seen his football career soar in the last two years.
He signed for the Toffees from relegated Premier League outfit Sunderland last summer in a deal reported to be around £30m.
His impressive showings for the Merseysiders in the last campaign earned him a spot in the starting XI for England at this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.
