Jordan Henderson

Liverpool defender Jordan Henderson has returned from the injury that kept him away for a long while.

Jordan Henderson last saw a game for his Merseyside club about three weeks ago before returning last weekend.

He was later ruled out of England’s UEFA Nations League clash against Croatia at Wembley on Sunday having picked another knock in their game against USA on Thursday night.

He has now returned having been sighted in the Liverpool training session at Melwood Training Ground on Saturday.

The Reds captain’s return to Melwood will have him receive further treatment as he continues his progress from injury so as to regain full fitness to help his side in the title challenge.

The injury was confirmed by the England national team coach Gareth Southgate who stated that Jordan Henderson has been nursing a number of injuries but was made to play games because he always wants to be on the field of play.

However, the 28-year-old has had an inconsistent season owing to a series of injuries as he has started only six games for the Reds in all competitions this season.

He was part of the England team that featured at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
