A latest twist have emerged in Liverpool’s alleged pursuit of Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele as it is now being reported that the Reds are not interested in bringing him to the Anfield.
Before now, the Anfield side were reported to have beaten other clubs in their interest for the French forward and it was believed that they were already preparing a bid to be launched for him in the coming winter transfer window.
The Liverpool Echo newspaper had revealed that manager Jurgen Klopp is not planning any move for the Barcelona man in the January window; hence a bid will not be submitted.
The reports of Dembele leaving the Camp Nou is as a result of his inability to impress since having a big-money move from Borussia Dortmund, prompting Premier League giants like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United to show interest in the player.
However, Dembele’s agent earlier claimed that his player was not thinking of a move away from the Camp Nou but will remain to fight for a starting role at the club.
The agent argued that the former Borrusia Dortmund has a lot of time to make the starting XI because of his young age which is a reason why he will not rush out of the club.
