There are indications Liverpool defender Joel Matip could be on his way to Fulham with manager Claudio Ranieri desperate to have him at the club as he has emerged as the new manager of the club.
Matip is obviously not an option in the Reds team as he has gone down the pecking order at Anfield especially with the coming of Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez who have both built formidable forces at the defence.
Although, the German-born Cameroon international is still under contract with the Reds for another two years but he will not be willing to see out his contract as he is reported to be tired of sitting on the bench without seeing games.
Fernabache are reported in having the player with Liverpool’s former director of football Damien Comolli who is now with the Turkish side believed to be taking advantage of his influence at his former side to complete the deal.
Having sacked manager Slavisa Jokanovic and bring in Ranieri, the West London club have shown big ambition in adding depth to their squad with the Liverpool player as their top target.
Matip is believed to favour a move to Fulham because he has already adapted to life in England and will not fancy a move elsewhere.
