Liverpool player has been charged by the English FA for misconduct as well as breaching the laws of betting.

The England international was accused of leaking out viable information about players, managers, team selections and other disciplinary matters which should not be made known to the public.

The Liverpool man has therefore been handed until 6 pm on Tuesday, 20th November 2018 to respond to the charges before a judgement is passed.

Meanwhile, Sturridge has denied ever placing a bet and has told the club management his own side of the story which the club have accepted in addition to ensuring a perfect support.

Sturridge joined the Merseyside club in 2013 from the West London side Chelsea but has not been fully integrated back into the team which has forced him into a loan move to West Brom.

The former Chelsea player has scored a total of four goals for Jurgen Klopp’s team in 12 appearances giving it a satisfactory performance.

However, Sturridge has been linked with a move away from the club as he is yet to find a regular playing time under the German manager.

Liverpool are as a matter of fact not ready to have any of their young stars sold at the moment.
