Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will reportedly sell two of his defenders when the transfer window reopens in seven weeks time.
This is in the bid to get some funds in his quest for a new centre back to boost his ailing squad.
According to the report from trusted English media portal Daily Telegraph via Metro, the Red Devils are keen to offload the defensive duo of Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo.
Ivorian international centre back Bailly won’t be short of suitors with various transfer rumours linking him to clubs like AC Milan, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
The 24-year-old has had a disappointing spell at Old Trafford since his move from Spanish La Liga side Villareal in 2016.
Manchester United were said to have paid the sum of £30m for his services.
Marcos Rojo has been injured for the majority of this season but recently recovered but he still yet to feature for the Red Devils this season.
Eric Bailly and Marcos Rojo would be sold to accommodate a new centre back with the defensive targets like Toby Alderweireld of Tottenham Hotspur and Milan Skriniar of Inter Milan at the top of his transfer list.
Mourinho was interested in a new centre back signing in the summer but the club didn’t heed his request.
