Arsenal Transfer Target To Sign New Man United Contract

Manchester United defender Phil Jones has been linked with a move to top four rivals Arsenal and Manchester United ahead of the next transfer window in the New Year.
The Red Devils are not willing to let him go despite the strong transfer links to the aforementioned North London duo.
According to the publication from popular English news portal Daily Star, Manchester United will offer the England international centre back a new contract until the end of the 2019/20 season.
Phil Jones has less than a year left on his current deal at Old Trafford but the Red Devils reserve the right to activate the clause of an additional year in his Manchester United contract.
This is necessary to prevent the 26-year-old from leaving the club on a free transfer when his Manchester United contract expires at the end of the season.
With the new development, the Red Devils will be able to cash in on him next summer in the event that other clubs are interested in him.
Phil Jones teamed up with Manchester United from English Championship side Blackburn Rovers in 2011 but he has not been able to live up to the huge expectations that accompanied his move to Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.
