Liverpool turn attention to Blackburn striker

Liverpool have shifted their attention to Blackburn striker Vilus Piliukaitis as an addition ahead of the January Transfer window.

The Reds are not alone in the bid for the player with big Premier League sides as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham all seeking for the signature of the 17-year-old player.

The hottest striker in Europe was signed on loan from Lithuanian Natioanl Football Academy with an option to have him on a permanent deal.

However, Liverpool and Tottenham have been identified as the strongest contenders for the player who currently plays in the Blackburn’s under 18 side.

The young lad scored two goals with two assists in their 4-1 win against West Brom of recent.

There is no doubt that the player is of huge talent with the six top Premier League teams all fighting for his signature.

However, the player has been advised against having a switch to Liverpool because of the availability of the huge talents in the club as he will be needing a place to further develop with regular first team football.

Meanwhile, teams like Arsenal and Tottenham have shown the prospect of grooming young players in the past and handing them the opportunity to play first team football.
