Chelsea are reportedly gunning for the signature of Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio with a bid to make a move in the winter transfer window which opens in the coming month.

Asensio who is much younger is expected to come fill the space for Spanish player Pedro and Brazilian Willian who are not living up to expectations and also having age as a disadvantage to them having both clocked 30.

Asensio’s quality is in no doubt will fit into the Chelsea team with manger Maurizio Sarri willing to break the bank for the Spanish winger

The Spanish international is also interesting a number of big clubs who are monitoring his progress with the likes of Liverpool also showing some interest.

The former Mallorca player who joined Bernabeu in 2015 for a fee of £5 million has made a lot of progress with his fee already raised to the sky. He has got a release clause of about £75 million considering the investment on the 22-year-old.

The decision would be left for Real Madrid to make on either releasing the player or not but the West London team will do all it takes to lure him to the Stamford Bridge as soon as the January transfer window.
