AS Roma sporting director Monchi has dismissed transfer rumours linking Czech Republic international Patrik Schick with a move away from the Italian capital club during the January transfer window.
Schick has found first team football hard to come by at AS Roma thereby prompting reports of a move away from the club.
Monchi was quoted in a tweet from David Amoyal and monitored by readarsenal.
Patrick Schick had earlier been linked with a loan move to Premier League giants Arsenal ahead of the upcoming transfer window in the New Year.
The transfer reports claimed that the 22-year-old will be a temporary replacement for injured Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck.
England international player Welbeck is almost certain to miss the rest of the season after he sustained a serious right ankle injury during the Europa League clash with Portuguese Super League side Sporting Lisbon on Thursday night.
The 27-year-old suffered the unfortunate injury in the Group E game which ended in a goalless draw.
The result was enough to maintain the Gunners’ unbeaten run and also book their spot in the last 32 of the Europa League.
Apart from Patrick Schick, other forwards like Nicolas Pepe, Ousmane Dembele and others have been linked with the Gunners.
