Liverpool are reported to be ready to tidy up a major deal at the Anfield following the acceptance of Scottish defender Andy Robertson to sign a new deal at the club.
Robertson has been a major part of the Jurgen Klopp side and his great form has helped the Reds to be where they are now in the Premier League table while they are one of the teams that have conceded fewer goals so far this season.
However, he is being rewarded with an extension at the club which will be finalized in coming weeks.
Also, the new deal for Robertson will have his weekly wages being doubled from £60,000 to £120,000- a week at the club with a five-years deal despite having three years left to see the end of his current contract.
The German manager has praised the Scottish defender for his impact in the team and is reported to be the man behind the push for a new and better deal at the club.
Meanwhile, the release clause for Robertson was not disclosed in the new deal but he is expected to have a higher release clause having invested more in him within the period of his stay at the club.
