Iker Muniain

Athletic Bilbao attacking midfielder Iker Muniain has sent a damning message to his England suitors, Liverpool with a major step of committing his future to the Spanish side.

The move by the player is the loudest way of telling the Merseyside suitors of his rejection of their bid and interest for him knowing that his contract with his club expires at the end of next season.

The Reds had expected that the 25-year old could be secured at a very cheap price in the winter with the insinuation that his club will be in a rush to have him sold but that will no longer be as the player wants to remain.

Muniain is a goal scoring attacker who already has four goals to his name in nine appearances for his side, making him an important player who is highly needed.

A report by Spanish newspaper Marca stated that the decision to remain at the club is that of the midfielder and not the club but hinted that the player’s request to remain at San Mames would be well granted by the club.

However, Liverpool will face competition from Napoli who are reported to be monitoring the player from a distance as well.

Lovre Kalinic

North London giants Arsenal have been linked with a surprise move for Croatian international goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic ahead of the January transfer window.

Reports in Italy claim that the Gunners will face Premier League competition in the race to sign the 28-year-old shot-stopper.

He came close to signing for English Championship side Aston Villa but the transfer didn’t materialise.

Lovre Kalinic plays his club football for Belgian side Gent at the moment.

Other English sides such as Crystal Palace, Tottenham Hotspur and Watford are also keen on a transfer for him.

He was part of the Croatian squad that surprised the whole world by reaching the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia before succumbing to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of eventual champions France.

Kalinic has been hugely impressive for the Croatian team since he replaced Danijel Subasic as the first choice goalkeeper.

Subasic was initially the first choice goal minder before he retired after this summer’s World Cup tournament.

He could be a direct replacement for Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech who has less than a year left on his current contract at the Emirates Stadium.

Cech has been relegated to be the Gunners’ second choice following the arrival of summer signing Bernd Leno from German side Bayer Leverkusen.

Italian Serie A champions Juventus have taken a big step in the race to sign in-demand Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey after they offered the Welsh international star a mouthwatering contract.

Juventus are bidding to sign the 27-year-old on a free transfer at the end of the current season.

According to the report from renowned English media outlet The Sun, Juventus have offered Aaron Ramsey an irresistible contract.

The former Cardiff City playmaker has been offered a weekly salary of £200,000 by the Old Lady.

The battle to sign Aaron Ramsey is expected to continue between now and 2019.

He’s on his way out of Arsenal after the Gunners failed to offer him a new contract despite the fact that he has less than a year on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium.

sadio mane

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane was booed by the Senegal fans in their win against Equatorial Guinea during the African Nations Cup Qualifiers game.

The Senegal international who was hurt by the booing from his own countrymen left the pitch in tears as he was consoled by his teammates who were unhappy with the display by the fans.

Senegal have already confirmed their qualification for the biggest continent’s tournament but there are still fears that the Reds forward may have picked up an injury.

The situation was later confirmed by the Senegalese media which claimed that Sadio Mane was booed because of his performance in the game.

There are suggestions that he intentionally gave that level of performance in order to be fit and available for his England club football which they claim should not be more important than Mane’s fatherland.

It would be recalled that the Senegal international sustained a thumb injury while on international duty last month which ruled him out of the second half of the game.

The fans that were unhappy at his absence are of the opinion that he has given more to club football than he has to the national side which is unacceptable to them.

However, the Liverpool fans stormed Twitter platform to console their beloved player as well as defend him.

Fabinho

Emerging reports indicate that Liverpool might let Fabinho leave in the summer despite joining the club in the summer from French side Monaco.

According to reports from The Daily Mirror, the decision of the Reds to let the player leave is because of their need for Borussia Dortmund starlet Christian Pulisic.

Liverpool are seeking to make use of the funds gotten from the sale of the former Monaco man to fund the deal for Jordan Henderson in the January transfer window.

The Brazilian joined the Anfield in the summer and he has yet to make any mark with not enough starting roles. It has been earlier reported that Fabinho is seeking a way out of the club with Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus all seeking to have his signature.

However, Liverpool are desperate to have Christian Pulisic and they are reported to be in a hurry to sign him before they are being overtaken by other suitors.

Christian Pulisic is highly rated amongst young players with Manchester United and Chelsea seeking to snatch him from Liverpool as he is believed to be having the qualities to fit into the English Premier League.

However, Liverpool are bent on having more additions to their squad having vowed to give the league title race a good fight.

This Chelsea midfielder is confused about his next move

Cesc Fabregas

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas seems to be confused about his next move having hinted that he is contemplating on whether to remain at the club or move elsewhere.

The former Barcelona star has severally complained about his lack of playing time at the Stamford Bridge under manager Maurizio Sarri but seems to still be in love with the club.

With speculations surrounding his future, the Spanish international is heavily linked with a move away from Stanford Bridge and Italian giants AC Milan are believed to be interested in his service.

However, Fabregas’ current contract with the West London side will be expiring at the end of the season and there has been no offer on the table for him from the club which brings the confusion of what next to do.

This leaves the former Arsenal star waiting for any developments that will arise and also looks good for him but at the moment, he is reported to be confused about where his future lies.

Fabregas had stated that he is open to a return to the North London side where he had his first spell in the English Premier League with lots of good memories.

There is, therefore, no assurance that Fabregas would be allowed to return to the Emirates Stadium with the new manager Unai Emery not having him in his plan.
