Arsenal will reportedly sell goalkeeper David Ospina to Italian Serie A giants Napoli at the end of this season.

According to the publication from renowned English news outlet The Sun, the Colombian international shot-stopper is surplus to requirement at the Emirates Stadium.

Ospina currently plays his club football for Napoli having joined the Champions League campaigners on a season-long loan during this summer’s transfer window.

The previously mentioned report also claimed that Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has been impressed with the 30-year-old since he replaced the injured Alex Meret in goal.

Napoli can convert his loan deal to a permanent one with just £3.5m as stipulated in the contract that took him to Italy.

The former OGC Nice goalie will have just one year left on his Arsenal contract at the end of this season.

David Ospina moved further down the pecking order in the Gunners’ goalkeeping department following the signing of German international goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen in the summer.

Leno has impressed for the North Londoners since his move to England.

He started the season outside the Arsenal starting XI but the injury to Petr Cech gave him the opportunity to nail down a first eleven spot in the Gunners team.
